The Coro Furlan is the only Male Italian Choir left in Melbourne. The Choir is an all-male Italian choir from the region of Friuli. Most of the songs we sing are in Friulan which is one of the languages apart from Italian; other songs are sung in the Veneto dialect, and in Italian; the Choir sings Masses in Latin as well. The Choir maintains a heritage and a culture of the area, and enjoys singing and performing these songs. The Choir practices on a weekly basis at The Furlan Club in Thornbury.

It is over 30 years since the Coro Furlan Melbourne was formed, and we are looking for the next generation of choristers to carry on this part of the Italian migration history in Australia. This is a traditional Italian Male Choir. Our present singers want to pass on the music to the second generation of Italian desent and mintain it's musical culture. You do not have to be Italian or come from Friuli to participate, but only to have a passion for Italian Music which is famous world wide. Our charter is to maintain the traditional Friulian music. We are the custodians for Friulian choral music in Australia.
